Does it cost money to switch cell phones on Verizon if I already own the new phone?

I already own a blackberry from a friend and want to change phones. All I want verizon to do is make the blackberry active and switch my contacts from my old phone to the new one. Does this cost money? How much?Does it cost money to switch cell phones on Verizon if I already own the new phone?
No it does not cost any money to activate a different phone. Don't forget about the monthly Blackberry data plan though
